1st Quarter Awardee: FIRST STEP
First Step is to reduce the incident of domestic & sexual violence and to provide services to individuals affected by these crimes. Prevention of domestic and sexual violence through education, advocacy and appropriate intervention is the ultimate goal of First Step.
First Step has been in existence since 1978 with four (4) site in Wayne County, MI. They provide direct service and support to over 6,000+ people ( women, children, men & the elderly) and educational programs/training to nearly 7,000-8,000 individuals.
