How 100 Women Works

We encourage 100 women or more to commit to our group. Commitment involves attending four, one hour meetings a year and pledging $100 per meeting ($400.00 per year).

The donations will be given to charities/non-profit worthy cause serving the Macomb, Oakland & Wayne Counties in Southeastern Michigan.   No national charities will be considered. The purpose is for the contribution to stay 100% in the community.
  1. At each meeting, an opportunity is provided for three members of the 100 women to present a five (5) minute explanation of a local organization or agency in need.
  2. There is a two (2) minute Q&A time before vote.
  3. A vote is taken
  4. The winner is announced. Each woman writes a check to the winning agency.  Although it may not be your first choice, you are still obligated to donate.  Our goal is to reach at least 100 women such that the charity/non profit agency or organization receives at least $10,000!
  5. The meeting ends.
  6. Once a date is determined, all members of 100+ Women Who Care are encouraged to attend check presentation to the winning agency
At the next 100+ Women Who Care meeting, the winning agency tells us how the money was used and what impact it had to the community and their agency.

For your tax purposes, all checks will be made out to the chosen organization. If you are unable to attend, give your check to a member to deliver on your behalf.

If your name is drawn and you make a presentation and your charity is not chosen, you will still be eligible to put your name in the drawing at the next meeting.

The charity/non-profit/worthy cause must agree to NOT use the donors' names for future solicitations or give the donor information out to the public. If the charity/non-profit/worthy cause does not adhere to this condition, they will be removed from any future consideration.

How much more powerful can 100 or more women be? Together, we can significantly impact the many local organizations and agencies devoted to improving lives.  Please bring your friends and help me launch this project!
